OMG!!!! - So Bananas - I Could Die

Was yesterday the best day ever....the sun came out and I think that the summer finally started
I went down to Laguna Beach to spend the day with the family and
at my mother's house I saw the finally saw the print issue of ELLE magazine
the one with the Julia Roberts photos
and then surprise of all surprises
There was a fashion spread with Kim Kardashian (OMG!!!) and Justin Bieber ( double OMG!!!!!)
and Kim was frolicking in the water in Jean Mahie jewelry from you know where
here's the video from ELLE.com

Isn't Kim pretty...she has some serious assets.
OK...full disclosure here...I basically have no idea who Justin Bieber is
but I know that he is very high up on constellation the celebrity hierarchy
so I am pleased.
And today, it is 6:40 am and the sun is out this morning for the first time in months.

Monetize This!

About a week ago, Make Do Style had a long post about blog writing and business and I wanted to write about the same subject but haven't had the time.
But to go on record here, I know how much time you put into writing your blog, and if you can monetize your blog through ad sales or affiliate sales, I'm all for it.

Also, if I am going to buy a particular product, I would prefer to buy that product through your blog than through a department store. And, let's face it, I read your blogs, I enjoy what I read, and I appreciate your advice and product recommendations so naturally I'd love to shop through your site.

Years ago I signed up as an affiliate for Myla, Yoox, Boden and a few other random stores...but as you can see, I rarely have time to post about these products and still get in all my ranting on BHB. (For the record, I've been turned down by Neiman Marcus as an affiliate...which kinda cracks me up given that it is pretty much the only department store that I shop at! Maybe the powers that be at Neimans just don't have the proper appreciation for my posts on politicians and sex tapes.)

But, I would really like to become an affiliate of Amazon.com because I love to read and I enjoy recommending books to you. Perhaps BHB is not too objectionable for Amazon affiliation!

I am also not an affiliate of Beladora.com....for obvious reasons. But I invite you to become a Beladora affiliate. So no, you won't be paid in gold bars but you will be paid by check or paypal a commission for any sale on any full price item that occurs from a click through from your website.

And, Beladora as part of Kazanjian & Fogarty, Inc. is serious about paying commissions to any one who refers a client. We would rather pay commissions than pay for an ad in a newspaper or magazine.

I'm so not shy when it comes to my brand so you will probably receive an email from me inviting you to become an affiliate.
But if you want to start right away here are the links:
You can sign up as an affiliate for Beladora.com here
http://www.beladora.com/affiliate_program.asp
and for Beladora2.com here
http://www.beladora2.com/affiliate_program.asp

It's easy, all you do is send your name, email, and blog url and we will send you an email with your individual affiliate number and information about what code to use when you want to link to a product.

And this holds for my blogging peeps in Canada, Australia, The UK and Europe. Beladora will ship jewelry anywhere in the world as long as the shipment can be insured....so that kind leaves out Russia, North Korea, Somalia, etc.

Vintage Value Venture - All Tied Up In Trigere

It's hard to get into the Holiday spirit when you live in Los Angeles. Given the weather no matter where you go, at whatever time of day it seems that there's always someone wearing shorts and a T shirt. Not very Christmas-y.

If you're lucky...like some people I know.....who get to jet off to New York for a little snow and mistletoe and Holiday cheer..you might want to pick up this vintage Pauline Trigere coat and some Beladora jewelry for a little ice skating at the rink in Rockefeller Center while you admire the decorations on the Christmas Tree.

Beladora Set of Three Retro Bracelets With Diamond Clasps $3250

Beladora Vintage Mid-Century Diamond Brooch $3250

The only things missing from this outfit are a fur muff and a fur hat...and a player from the New York Rangers to catch you as you slip on the ice....

Savvy Shopping - Cruise Control

Admit it...now that the temperatures are dropping you are starting to think about that little get-away in the sun. Maybe something like a romantic trip à deux to some exotic far flung locale?
A cruise perhaps through the Gulf of Aden en route to Singapore.

So what to bring on your fantasy vacation?

Beladora Bling On Dancing With The Stars

And now for something completely different.
How great does Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba look in major diamond chandelier earrings provided by Beladora.com?

This photo is from last week's show.

In this week's two show finale, tonight and tomorrow, Carrie Ann will be rocking more Beladora.com bling.

(The earrings btw came from a real princess....not a wanna be princess)

Vintage Value Venture - Ice Baby Ice

While it is warm enough today to go hiking today in my cargo shorts and wife beater t-shirt, most of the rest of the country is feeling a cold snap.
It is Autumn after all.
So, how do deal with the chill?
With a little blue ice of your own of course!

Vintage Value Venture - A Little Aquascutum

Well...we had a little sprinkle of rain today...so it must finally be Fall...
and what better to wear in Autumn than a little Aquascutum.
So maybe you don't live in a country manor house surrounded by hedgerows and heaths filled with heather...but you can dress like you do.

This vintage Aquascutum tweed suit from Couture Allure Vintage is perfect for the Town and Country crowd. Add some sensible Ferragamo or Bally flats and it's perfect for tea with the Vicar. Add a pair of wellies and a Barbour and it's perfect for a stroll around the moors.

Really where else but the web can you buy a brand name wool tweed suit for $85?
OK I admit that it might be a little too suit-y for your taste, but you can break it up and wear as separates. Wouldn't this jacket look great over a black turtle neck sweater and a pair of black jeans? And, wouldn't the skirt look great with a camel twinset in cashmere?
So, how do you accessorize a suit that's got so much going on? With these vintage Kieselstein-Cord Labrador earrings from Beladora.com, of course.
Now in case you haven't heard, Manor born and raised Guy Richie has finally broken it off with Madonna. Maybe after all the hype over his divorce and new movie RocknRolla dies down he will be looking for a new Lady of the Manor...
With this suit and earrings you will have the perfect outfit to fit the horses, hounds and hunts lifestyle.

Lord of the Manor Guy Richie - Finally without Madonna

Oh, and Couture Allure Vintage has a great vintage blog. Take a look!

Vintage Value Venture - A Beladora Emerald and Diamond Necklace for Style that is Substantive

Fred Leighton Emerald and Diamond Necklace

Staying on the topic of the transformative power of clothes and accessories...

What to wear to the Red Diamond Event?

A Jones New York black satin dress from Macy's $150.

A Fred Leighton Emerald and Diamond necklace from Beladora $250,000.

It's the accessories that make the outfit...not the clothes.

'nuff said

Savvy Shopping - Some Spring Bling to Forget Fall

While young Miss De Ville is languishing in the cold climes of Colorado where it is 28 degrees (but not yet snowing!), the rest of the De Ville clan is enjoying the lovely spring like weather in and about Beverly Hills. But, seeing that it is almost November, we can't keep dressing like its summer...in spite of our 80+ degree weather.
So here's a nice transitional look that fits this in between season.
This nicely tailored but rather serious Craig Muller suit from NeimanMarcus.com would be perfect with something a little whimsical like a little spring bling from Beladora.com on the lapel.
