Credit Where Credit Is Due or We Heart ELLE.com

I take back my little rant from a previous post.
The very busy women at ELLE were off in Paris and there was a change in the NY staff,
thus the credit oversight.
Everything is as it should be now credit wise
and
We heart ELLE.com

Things That Make Me Go Arrrrgh

I suppose that most of you were raised with a certain list of rules for behavior as I was.
If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all
Speak quietly and use proper English
Don't bring attention to yourself
Never, never brag about your accomplishments or expect credit for anything you've done
Yes, I'm sure that you all know the list
In spite of this blog, in person you would find me to be a wallflower type...at at social event, I would be the quiet woman at the side of the room nursing her glass of wine watching everyone else...in fact you probably wouldn't even notice me.
But when it is business all these rules go by the wayside because at Beladora we don't have a publicist or a marketing department. Well, actually I take that back.  I am the publicist and the marketing department, as well as many other things and that is the primary reason that I started this blog.
And, when I see beautiful Beladora jewelry in publications, without credit, it makes me go arrrgh.
Take these gorgeous images from Elle.com for example
Great image isn't it but the snake necklace,  turquoise ring, and turquoise bracelet are from Beladora.com with no credit (and those look an awful lot like our david webb earrings too).
OK, let's see, vintage doorknocker earrings, turquoise ring, turquoise bracelet and link bracelet from Beladora.com , once again with no credit.
The vintage coral ring and diamond ring, weingrill coral bracelet, marina b bracelet and vintage tassel bracelet are also not credited.
And here we have the vintage gold collar necklace and black onyx ring, once again from Beladora.com.

Don't get me wrong, we are thrilled to have our awesome estate jewelry shown in Elle.com.
But if our competition is getting credit  for her estate jewelry on the Elle website, we would like to be credited too.
And, I'm promoting my brand and coming out right here in full bragging mode and telling you that Beladora estate jewelry rocks.
No other vintage jewelry website has as wide of a variety of exceptional pieces at attractive prices...or the friendly customer service...or the easy returns...as Beladora.com does.

OMG!!!! - So Bananas - I Could Die

Was yesterday the best day ever....the sun came out and I think that the summer finally started
I went down to Laguna Beach to spend the day with the family and
at my mother's house I saw the finally saw the print issue of ELLE magazine
the one with the Julia Roberts photos
and then surprise of all surprises
There was a fashion spread with Kim Kardashian (OMG!!!) and Justin Bieber ( double OMG!!!!!)
and Kim was frolicking in the water in Jean Mahie jewelry from you know where
here's the video from ELLE.com

Isn't Kim pretty...she has some serious assets.
OK...full disclosure here...I basically have no idea who Justin Bieber is
but I know that he is very high up on constellation the celebrity hierarchy
so I am pleased.
And today, it is 6:40 am and the sun is out this morning for the first time in months.

Beladora is ELLEated to be in ELLE Magazine

We are so happy to see some Beladora bangles and other vintage estate jewelry in the June 2010 issue of ELLE Magazine.

which is a work of art in terms of its design and construction, was one of the featured pieces.
Ironically, we just happened to have this bangle in our case in Las Vegas and it got a lot of attention.

J'Adore Beladora Snake Jewelry And So Does Elle.Com

While googling around the other day I happened to see that the utterly gorgeous Kate Davidson Hudson, accessories editor for Elle Magazine, is swooning over this sexy sapphire serpent.

I met Kate last Fall in New York and she truly is as nice and as smart as she is beautiful. Seriously, this woman won the jackpot in the great gene lottery.

St Patrick's Day Treat

I thought that I'd be spending St. Patrick's Day chasing down a rainbow and finding a pot of gold, but it's 85 degrees in Beverly Hills, no rainbows in sight and I'm not delving into the Irish Whiskey...yet.
But almost as good as finding a pot of gold is the fact that Beladora.com estate jewelry was featured in 7 pages of fashion editorial shots in the April issue of Elle Magazine.
Here's a really cool period piece, a French Retro Bracelet in Rose Gold

and here is the big sculptural gold bracelet that I posted about two days ago. It looks so much better being worn than in a photograph.
I'll post more photos when I get them.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone!

Beladora.com in Elle.com

Here are a couple of paragraphs from this very interesting article
The vintage jewelry market, is, for many, unfamiliar territory. It's sometimes perceived as terrain riddled with esotericisms and studied references that are intimidating to broach (no pun intended). Yet, in an economy that is encouraging people to streamline their wardrobes; vintage jewelry companies are finding a ripe market for buying and selling vintage gems with everyday consumers rather than connoisseurs or other dealers. This means that the product is more accessible and the marketplace more transparent, so, you are bound to get a little more bling for your buck.

Interest in vintage jewelry heightened in the last few years as greater attention focused on the investment-worth, and, design exclusivity offered by estate pieces. Estate jewelry, specifically fine pieces, tends to hold its value, or, even appreciate over time. The 18k yellow gold chain that you’ve held onto for the last decade is, in most cases, worth more today than the day you bought it; and if it’s signed, you may have just bolstered the rate of return on your initial investment two-fold. High quality vintage is quickly becoming the delicacy of the jewelry world as rarity in quantity and design, make it an increasingly exclusive commodity.
But be sure to read the whole thing!
