This photo of the First Lady and her daughters at the inauguration is fabulous.
The colors, including Michelle Obama's gloves in orchid, are just stunning.
And, on the topic of color
how amazing are these Lorraine Schwartz 80 carat emerald earrings
and 50 carat emerald ring worn by Beyonce?
Wow.

Red Carpet Style at the Golden Globes
paparazzi everywhere....check
stunning actresses.....check
gorgeous gowns.....check
what was missing from this picture?
well, there wasn't much in the way of red carpet worthy jewelry.
Still, I loved the classic diamond cluster jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz worn by Sofia Vergara
While heavy on the carats, (100+ worth $8 million) her jewels were elegant, age appropriate, and complemented her entire look
don't you agree?
But what was Jessica Alba doing wearing the 5.8 million dollar diamond necklace by Harry Winston?
While this necklace was amazing, I felt that it was a bit over the top for such a young and fresh faced beauty.
After wearing such an important piece to the Golden Globes...whatever is she going to wear to the Oscar's?

Jewelry Trend Alert 2013 - Beyond the Signet
As usual, the fashion reporters at the Wall Street Journal are just now...
years later...
catching up with the pinky ring trend,
which we haven't seen much of since the days of
fashion icon all stars, Diana Vreeland, Nan Kempner and Princess Diana
Here's the link to the article
Consider the Pinky Ring
According to the WSJ
Rings worn on the littlest finger have long been a discreet badge of style and status
Well, I don't know about badges of style and status
but here at BHB we've been wearing pinky rings for years
Mind you not the traditional gypsy set diamond gangster style rings
nor the aristocratic signets with elaborately engraved monograms
Since we don't take ourselves or our sartorial choices too seriously,
we prefer our pinky rings to be fun and a little unusual.
Here are range of high-low styles
from both Beladora.com and Beladora2.com (soon to be the B2 outlet)
with prices from as low as $295 to $2850
What do you think?
Will you be wearing a pinky ring in 2013?

The New Year Begins
While some of us spent New Year's Day recuperating from too much fun the night before
Some of us spent a very chilly day at the Rose Bowl.
Some of us spent a very chilly day at the Rose Bowl.
I don't know what was more incredible,
the fact that Stanford had their first Rose Bowl victory in 40 years
or
The flyover by the Stealth bomber, a truly amazing sight.
I'm not going to say that I wasn't impressed.
Now onto the New Year...any resolutions of note?
The usual...
Be happier and healthier.
Be kinder and more appreciative.
Exercise more, sit in front of a computer less.
Get out an be social instead of sitting home with a book or a kindle.
Good resolutions all, but being extra busy this month,
it is highly unlikely that I will get to any of them.
