Savvy Shopping- Blush Coral and Nude Shoe

Nude- Sand - Blush - whatever you call it, this is the color for shoes this spring.

From Kristopher Dukes
Nude shoes swing in and out of vogue, but I always adore them. A nude heel is more must-have than a basic black pump: nude shoes match everything, and they’re pure sex. Since a nude shoe melts your leg and arched foot into one long line, nudes like these Jimmy Choos’ll give you stems like Jessica Rabbit…

My Choice - Jimmy Choo Quote

Quiet, unassuming, lady like I admit, but they go perfectly with this

Every once in a while you just have to go Grace Kelly

Around Town - Angeleno Fashion & Photography Event at the W

David Drebin Fashion Photography for Angeleno Magazine's 9th Anniversary Issue

The Uber Cool W Hotel in Westwood

Randy Gerber' s Whiskey Blue Bar at the W

So there I was with my around town partner in crime Kristopher Dukes, at Angeleno Magazine's launch party for their September Fashion Issue, held at the uber cool W Hotel in Westwood. It was so packed with local fashionistas that we had to take refuge in the Whiskey Blue bar. Nice bar, bitchy bartenders.

The highlight of the evening was meeting Dr. Alexander Rivkin of the Westside Medical Spa and his gorgeous girlfriend. Alex is the doctor for those of us who don't believe in jumping into cosmetic surgery. A Yale trained surgeon and instructor at UCLA Medical Center, he specializes in non surgical treatments including:

Non-Surgical Nose Job™ (Injection Rhinoplasty™)
Non-Surgical Chin Enhancement
Non-Surgical Cheek Enhancement
Non-Surgical Jowl Lift
Non-Surgical Eye Lift
Non-Surgical Facelift

He even has his own blog.

He doesn't know this yet but he's going to be my new best friend. (Sorry Kristopher, but I have to give to give preference to the man who can make injections...)

Savvy Shopping - Sensational Senna

Senna Cosmetics
367 N. Camden Drive
Beverly Hills, CA 90210
310.274.1028
Look, I'm the first person to admit that I'm not much of a girly girl. When it comes to manicures and make-up I'm woefully behind the curve.
Thank God Kristopher Dukes, my go to girl for all things bright and beautiful around Beverly Hills, got my name on the guest list for the party last night at the Senna boutique introducing their Fall Collection.
Surrounded by professional make-up artists with flawless faces I succumbed to a little touch up by make-up artist extraordinaire, Leesa Dang.
The good thing is that I now know that my appearance can actually be improved with Senna products and by making a $30 or so investment in their primer I can put off the investment in botox for a little while longer. The bad thing is that knowing that the boutique is only a couple of blocks away from my office, I might be tempted to run over there on a weekly basis and get a little touch up by Leesa.
If you don't have a Senna boutique near you, you can buy their products online. They have a really nice easy to navigate website.

Beladora Bling for the Brainiac Beauty

In spite of her life of exotic travel and erotic exploration...purely for the sake of her craft....of course...the brainiac beauty, Kristopher Dukes, still has time for a little Beladora bling!

Bevelry Hills - A Typical Day on the Town

Kristopher Dukes the brainiac beauty

The one and only Fabio

What a day...

First I had the pleasure to lunch with Kristopher Dukes who is a brilliant as she is lovely. I love that combination of beauty and brains.

Then at dinner tonight, none other than the one and only Fabio sits at the next table. Honestly, except for the ridiculous long hair, which of course is his signature feature, he is gorgeous. With him was an age appropriate date who was attractive in every way, except for her fake double D breasts. Style note: she was wearing a maxi dress.

You know... just another typical day in Beverly Hills.

Loulou de la Falaise Jewelry for Oscar de la Renta

Last night I was invited by fashion blogger and all around girl about town Kristopher Dukes to the Oscar de La Renta boutique on Melrose Place. The Bag Snob girls were there too but I ducked out before I had a chance to meet them.

What was the occasion? The presentation of the new line of jewelry designed by Loulou de la Falaise of course. The store was full of pretty young things in their Jimmy Choos who were more interested in chatting with each other rather than perusing the collection.
Of course Eliza Reed Bolen, the step daughter and face of Oscar de La Renta was there as well the famous french fashionista Loulou de Falaise, best known for being the muse of Yves St. Laurent. Oddly, she didn't seem to be wearing the jewelry from this collection but she was rocking some major bangle bracelets.
The line to debut this fall exclusively at Oscar de La Renta boutiques, is mostly made of single-and multi strand beaded necklaces - a de la Falaise trademark- each and eclectic hodgepodge of stones in varying textures and sizes.

Look, I like bold chunky bohemian gypsy chic as must as the next person, but not at those prices. When I see something that cost $2000-$4000 to manufacture priced at $20,000-$40,000... I just shake my head and wonder who buys this nonsense?
After all, this isn't Cartier, Weingrill or Van Cleef quality, this is typical product out of India.

OK, maybe not a launch but a link would do.

Kristopher Dukes Wanting, Wearing and Hating

The very pretty and talented Kristopher Dukes has returned from her opium den tour of Hong Kong and is back to her old tricks...wanting, wearing and hating across the net.

And look what she is wearing now...a yummy little bag from Vintage Skins. Like your very own Belle, she believes that once a scaly reptile has given its life for fashion, it should be appreciated for decades.
