Recommended Reading - Fire In The Blood

I enjoyed reading Suite Francais by Irene Nemirovsky, an intense book which was to me (in a weird way) a kind of antithesis of Castle to Castle by Celine, so I decided to read Nemirovsky's Fire in the Blood which started slow but built in intensity to the inevitable conclusion.
I'll give you the best quote
"After all, the three of us were young. It wasn't just about the pleasures of the flesh . No, it wasn't that simple. The flesh is so easy to satisfy. It's the heart that is insatiable, the heart that needs to love, to despair, to burn with any kind of fire...That was what we wanted. To burn, to be consumed, to devour our days just as fire devours the forest."
