Well it must be official if both Tish and New York Magazine are writing about it,
Yep, you guessed it
The Spring/Summer trend is Maxi Skirts.
By maxi we mean a length from just below the knee to the floor like with these two skirts from NY magazine
Richard Chai white maxi skirt $245
Marc Jacobs maxi skirt $925
Honestly, I like both of these skirts but they are above my budget for a trend that will last only one season.
Tish featured this skirt from LaRedoute and at 30 euros I would totally make the investment.
Comfortable and hiding a multitude of figure flaws, what's not to like about this hippy dippy look.
Just add bangles, chandelier earrings, sandals, a floppy hat and maybe a big pendant on a long chain and we can channel our inner 1970s boho chic.
Are you jumping on this trend this summer....or have decided that you lived through the 1970s once already...and once was enough!

As I said on Tish's blog, I love the *idea* of maxi skirts, but really have never found any that look good on short me. I tend to look like my european peasant ancestors.
I'm really glad 70's glam and boho is back in. I don't have to buy a thing! xx
I like this look and will wear it this summer. I don't care if I look "peasanty." Is that any worse than looking bourgeois which is my usual look? I won't do peasant blouses, though. Just don't like them.
I do like the last skirt best. Get the right skirt and it will last you more than one season
Hi there!! Love this trend so much, I love the blue Marc Jacobs skirt! have a great weekend my dear xx
Bought a grey skirt to the ankle and
matching floral top yesterday for Spain. Mesh and lined no wrinkles.
Made in Italy. Great minds think alike. XXMamam
I loved the maxi dresses from a couple of seasons back, but found them too hot to wear in summer!
