Savvy Shopping - Boucheron Beasts

Fashion blogger Savvy Mode blogged today that she isn't a big fan of the new animal jewelry from the extravagant bestiary collection by Boucheron.

Which includes this diamond swan necklace interestingly worn as a hair ornament

and these charming carved gemstone turtle rings

I do like animal motif jewelry
when it is cleverly conceived and constructed
and I'm rather fond of Beladora's newest acquisition

OK, so I admit that it is a bit pricey at $13,000
but waaaay better priced than Boucheron retail price of $28,000
And god knows that I'd much rather have a jewelled iguana than a live one

Those turtle rings are cute!

Actually, iguanas are very gentle and sociable creatures. When I was a kid out neighbors had one as a pet...it's name was Rocky and it slept on a heating pad in the bathroom. It liked to swim in the pool with us, and when you rubbed between his eyes, he'd fall asleep.

I wasn't a huge fan either to be honest. The Swan is kind of amazing though.

Pseu: The turtle ring are actually cute. Why is it that I remember neighbors having pet iguanas too. Didn't they become illegal because they carry some weird desease. I also thought that pet turtles carry some desease.
Jenna: That swan is amazing and I pretty much love any jewelry when it is worn in the hair.
Couture Allure: It is a cool ring, more like wearing a piece of art than jewelry.

I love any piece that is unique. And some pet's I would rather wear as jewelry than have live in my house LOL!

I am not a big fan, except for the swam motif. I think these are interesting and fun but i do have a problem paying that much for fun. : ) xoxo

Sher: It it's not a dog or a horse, I don't want it as a pet!
Savvy Gal: Yeah, Boucheron is big bucks and that's a lot to pay for fun!
