Too Busy Bitching To Blog

Maybe it's because I've been reading about the system of taxation in early 18th France and how the Taille differed between the Pays d'Election and the Pays d'Etat, and the details of the Taille en Tarif and the Taille Reelle that has put me in a mood.

Added to my reading that taxes are going to rise for the Middle Class, and how government funds have been utterly wasted on non growth related nonsense
while banks that have received stimulus money are paying out huge bonuses
and Wall Street analysts are putting out bogus earnings reports (didn't we just go through that about 10 years ago with the tech bubble)
and another bill is going to pass in congress that no one has actually read.

People I need a VACATION!

Luckily...I'm going on vacation next week and hopefully that will mean a much needed attitude adjustment.

In the mean time, here's a pretty picture.

I need a vacation too. That's why I'm going to law school in Florida.

I love chokers. This one is beautiful! I've gotten to the point that I don't read the business section anymore. It's too damn depressing. I would rather be pollyanna right now than worry about things I have no control over. Rather than paying Secrest 45 mill over three years and NBA players outrageous salaries...Oh, forget it! I'm not going to go off on this rant when there is such pretty jewelry to look at!

Queen: You've timed Law School just right. By the time you graduate law firms are going to be back to hiring.

Jill: As much as I try to avoid the news that annoys me, I can't because my business depends on a robust economy. But I am so glad that I work with wonderful people and a beautiful product.

Wendy: I'm off to my brother's house on the Atlantic coast in Southern Spain. Then a few days in Aix en Provence with friends and a couple of days in Madrid.
