I've been fortunate enough to have attended some wonderful weddings. From barefoot on the beach parties with sarongs and mai tais, to classic country club champagne sipping soirees, to weekend long fetes at French chateaux, each has event has been memorable.
But this weekend's wedding in Napa was truly something special.
The combination of a private home set amidst the family vineyards, absolutely delicious food and wines, very clever, amusing and heartfelt speeches, and an interesting group of guests was perfect. And add to that the pleasure of knowing that lovely young woman has found happiness with a young man who will treat her with the respect and appreciation that she deserves.
This wedding has left me feeling that all is right in the world
at least for today....
