Because Five Minutes Early Is On Time

Thank you Lisa for doing the serious work of reminding us all that
Five Minutes Early Is On Time

And if anyone needs any help with making sure that you can get to where you need to be on time
Beladora.com is just beginning to feature vintage timepieces and clocks.

And right now I'm liking this watch

Do you still wear a watch or do you depend on the clock on your cell phone?

I tend to rely on my iphone these days, that or the little clock in the bottom right hand corner of my computer screen. Lovely watch though :-)

I am surprised at the amount of people these days that arrive late for appointments etc without an apology! I am always 5 minutes early!

I still wear my watch because I like it. I bought it at Tiffany in Oakbrook when I left my full-time job to move with my husband to California. I knew I wouldn't be getting one from the university. ;) So it represents the achievement of persevering through some tough years, professionally.
But a friend the other day did catch me checking my phone for the time when I had a watch on my wrist. Probably because we were at the pool, and I usually don't take my watch to the pool.
I love the watch at the top of your page.

Lisa: I love that watch too. It is so hard to find workmanship on that level except in vintage pieces.

Pseu: thanks, we've got more watches coming up. I really like the gold David Yuman watch because it is more of a bracelet than a watch.

Yonks: I love to wear wristwatches but I have to admit to relying on my phone and my computer for the time.

Helen: I am a watch person too. I think that watches are a key part of any outfit.

SL: You mean you didn't get a gold watch when you left the University???
