I'm all for classic American style like these boots from LL Bean
But I was wondering if Tommy Hilfiger was taking the style a step too far with these boots
Check out Couture Carrie for these over the knee boots and more
Also, the Preppy Princess has given us her take on Tommy Hilfiger's new Fall 2010 ad campaign featuring his all American twisted preppy faux family
Tailgating with a twist. I like it.

I know, aren't those otk duck boots a tad ridiculous?!
Thanks for the mention and link, darling!

I like it too, Royal Tenenbaum-style. Hellz yeah!
I hated wearing those LL Bean boots in high school -- I would have really gone for the over the knee version though!
The first pair of boots look equestrian. I see them worn at stables, especially on girls cleaning up the boxes. They also in some odd way remind me of my MIL, every time! Now she would surely like these boots.
I have had my share of the MIL, and can´t therefore be objective about the boots.
I've always felt like Hilfiger was a poor substitute for Ralph Lauren. My ex-husband only wore Ralph Lauren...RL everything! Maybe that's the reason for my disdain. Neither Ralph nor Tommy do a thing for me.
I am truly surprised that Tommy H has lasted. He was the original Calvin Klein B-team (remember his jeans ads?) and has somehow morphed into the RL B-team. I find his clothes to be unattractively derivative, with details and colors that are off, but in an uncool way. There will be no over-the-knee duck boots here!
