Vintage Value Venture - A Plethora of Pearls

It has been a plethora of pearls at BeladoraII this week
especially with a call for "Mad Men" style vintage pearl jewelry
for a cover shoot for a major magazine this week
shot by a major photographer (yeah, you know who she is)
Not necessarily "Mad Men" but more my style
some vintage cultured pearl pieces

I'm crazy about charm bracelets with just one big charm. It is such a great Retro 1940's-1950's look. You see it all the time moveis from the 1940's.
The brooch is really pretty too. It would be great on a fabric evening bag.

Each and every piece is exquisite, Belle! And those Orbit earrings on your Beladora site, TDF!

I love restyling plain strands with a statement clasp- then they're not boring! (You can repurpose a brooch or pin as a clasp.)

Michelle: thanks, I really love that brooch.

Duchesse: you're right about the Orbits. TDF, not only are they comfortable, which is very important in an earring, they can be made in different colors and sizes. They are one of my favorites and I wear them with my south sea strands.

Also, we often redesign brooches into clasps. It requires a good jeweler but it adds so much visual interest to pearls.
