I agree with you that the dress is reminiscent of the one in the painting, which I'm sure you know, was considered suggestive if not, scandalous at the time. Hard to believe when you compare that to the magazine cover featuring Sharon Stone. (Although, you're right, she looks great!) And, your comment about the $550 million to purchase jets reminds of Al Gore flying all over the country to scold the American public about their carbon footprints.

Lisa: From Madame x to Sharon Stone....what a differnce a century makes...which makes me wonder if anything at all will be considered indecent in another 100 years.
