At this time of year in Southern California when the mid-day sun is burning and the shrub covered hills turn brown bringing on the beginning of fire season
I think about how lovely it would be to take a little time off at an Aman Resort in a lush tropical island paradise.

Bali is one of the places on our wishlist. The travel time just to get there always ends up putting a kabosh on the whole idea. God, it's green.
Jill, for me too it's always about the travel time. I'd love to go to Bali, The Maldives, Sri Lanka, etc. but anything like 20 hours on a plane is just too much for me.
I'm avoiding NY this week because I don't want to deal with 5 hours in the air.
