And not surprisingly, the brains belong this brilliant branding campaign belong to the power mom, Kris Kardashian Jenner.
This woman is a genius. No really she is. There should be case studies written for the Harvard Business Review about how she turned her B list brood into the big buck$. I have nothing but admiration for her marketing skills which begat a very successful and long running reality tv show making her girls into superstars. And now the biggest star of them all, Kim Kardashian, has just had her celebrity all star wedding.
In case you weren't invited to the ceremony, here's the exclusive video. I wonder if the amount that she made by selling the exclusive film rights to E! paid for the cost of the wedding...I bet it did and more. Kim, like her mother, is seriously savvy (product endorsements, business ownership, self promotion, etc.) and honestly I admire her business acumen.
Kim is a truly beautiful girl, a true Hollywood princess. Don't you agree?
And doesn't she make a radiant bride?
And I am so thrilled that she chose to grasp the trend that we've been tirelessly promoting at Beladora. Yes, you know what trend I'm talking about...jewelry worn on your head, princess style. We've been wearing necklaces on our heads for years, no really we have.
Here's a photo from a couple of years ago of Miss de Ville wearing our Queen of the Nile emerald and diamond necklace on her head. Seriously, there isn't a fancy necklace here at the HQ that doesn't at one time or another end up draped across a forehead or perched across the top of a head tiara style. So perhaps now, after the Kim Kardashian wedding photos, this trend will finally catch on.
So, if having your forehead draped in diamonds isn't your style, what about wearing a brooch that belonged to a Grand Duchess?
This story that we have on this diamond brooch was that it belonged to the Princess Juliane Henriette Ulrike of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld who married into the Russian royal family and became the the Grand Duchess Anna Feodorovna of Russia.
Here is her portrait by Elisabeth Louise Vigee LeBrun.
According to Wikipedia
On 28 October 1808 Anna gave birth to an illegitimate son, named Eduard Edgar Schmidt-Löwe. The father of this child may have been Jules Gabriel Emile de Seigneux, a minor French nobleman. Eduard was ennobled by his mother's younger brother, Ernst I, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, and assumed the surname von Löwenfels by decree on 10 January 1818.
Later, Anna moved to Bern, Switzerland, and gave birth to a second illegitimate child in 1812, a daughter, named Louise Hilda Agnes d'Aubert. The father was Rodolphe Abraham de Schiferli, a Swiss surgeon, professor and chamberlain (French:Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur, German:Oberhofmeister) of Anna's household from 1812 to 1837. In order to cover another scandal in Anna's life, the baby was adopted by Jean François Joseph d'Aubert, a French refugee.
Two years later, in 1814, Constantine, accompanied by her brother Leopold, tried to get Anna to return to him but her firm opposition prevented this attempt from succeeding. That year, Anna acquired an estate on the banks of Aare River and gave it the name of Elfenau.[5] She spent the rest of her life there, and, as a lover of music, made her home a center for domestic and foreign musical society of the era.
I love her story and I can't wait to learn more about her.

Ok, I am going to show my ignorance here, however I do not know anything about the Kardashians, through choice.
As for the Grand Duchess I am also ignorant, however she is someone I would like to know more about
David...we live in a world that promotes personality cults...it's like a mass hysteria.
Yes, we need to know more about the Grand Duchess.
I have the biography "La Vie en Suisse de S.A.I. La Grande-Duchesse Anna Feodorovna" from 1942 but it is going to take me a while to get through it. My french is more than a little rusty!
Well she is very pretty, but as far as being a hollywood princess, I beg to differ. When I think of a hollywood princess i think of someone who works in holllywood who is an actress, she does neither. In fact I have yet to figure out just what she does, except parade around in tight short dresses, make naughty tapes, and air her countless failed relationships on TV. Not saying shes not a nice person because there does seem to be something quite sweet about her, but I just fail to see why she and in fact the entire family is so famous, ironically except for good ol Bruce, at least we know what hes accomplished and why he is famous!
I second David Tom's comment on the Kardashians. I watch minimal tv and therefore would not know them from Adam.
The head jewellery is very attractive.
Helen x
If the Grand Duchess was the sister of Ernst I, I'm thinking she must have been related to Queen VIctoria?? Will have to check into this further. Fascinating. The portrait shows her as a beautiful and vibrant woman, and I imagine she was just that. As for the Kardashians, we don't have tv, so I see them only in the mags!
I watch the Kardashians and want to see the wedding pictures. I agree that Old Kris is a marketing genius. They are sort of horrible and yet I cannot look away...You are lucky dealing with jewels all day x
Positively drooling over the brooch, I would much rather wear something with a history than a brand new piece.
And I would love to have even a drop of business acumen.
Enchanted: Isn't it ironic that they are famous for being famous while Bruce has actually accomplished something.
BTW, never underestimate the value of releasing a naughty video on the internet. It was the catalyst for pushing Kim to stardom.
Helen: Honestly, I don't watch TV either and I have only seen the show once. It's just blows me away at how popular they are.
SL: A short marriage to an abusive Russian Duke then a life with two illegitimate children and artist intellectuals...YES we need to know more about this woman!
FF: Yes, like with natural disasters, I just can't look away either.
And yes, I am lucky and I LUFF my work.
Tabitha: Self marketing is an amazing business skill to have. It's something internal, not something that can be taught. Don't you agree?
One of the key reasons why I love estate jewelry is handling beautiful objects that have history behind them.
I do very much like jewelry one one's head. But I will not be kontributing to lining the Kardashian koffers . . . :-)
