Weekend Reading - Sarah's Key

If you haven't already read Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
I recommend it highly.
It's a fast easy read about a serious subject.

I haven't seen the film yet but I'm looking forward to it.

It stars Kristin Scott Thomas, I love her don't you?

Also, when reading the book I noticed a strange coincidence.
The main character in the book is from the same town in Massachusetts that I lived in, she attended the same school that I went to...and she had a friend from that school by the same name as one of my friend's from that very same school, and the name was unusual.
Isn't that weird?

That looks really good, love Kristin Scott Thomas! I'm so backed up on my reading but will definitely add that one to the list.

That is very strange! I wonder if the author was inspired by this real person?

Pseu, you are going to love this book. I find the descriptions of the main character's French husband and of Parisians in general to be spot on.

Katherine, the author grew up in Boston so she probably did actually go to this school and know the same person.

SL, yes haunting is an excellent way to describe it.

CA, I was enthralled right from the first page.

Is your other pen name Tatiana, perchance? Kristin S-T is one of my absolute favourite actresses. She has grown into her looks in a way that other women grow out of them. I love it when she speaks en francais in her films too!

Yonk: Brookline was the first suburb right outside of Boston. It was more of a town than a suburb.

Miss C: "She has grown into her looks" I love that expression!
