I have not seen the movie, only the clip you have. I hate horror movies and if this is something like that, pictured in Sweden, I understand your dislike. Otherwise, I don´t have anything against Sweden.
I have this book and have not read it yet.. I wasnt sure if it was not too hard going for me as I read late at night like simple easy reading .. I will give it a second go now xx
Loved the book(s), but certain of the books had that affect on me. I am sure the movie would only intensify it. I knew there was a Swedish film but had no idea that there was a US release. Must see.
Meetscan: In my mind Finland, Sweden and Norway are beautiful with lush green trees and sharp blue water. Because of the way that this film was shot, all of the landscape looked dreary.
Wilderness: It is easy to read, but an intense thriller. But, after reading the first two books, it gives me the impression that that Sweden is full of nazis and depraved sexual deviants. Not a good impression.
Mardel: I was at a special screening. The move will be released in another week or so.
Actually, movies have already been made of all three of the books. The third book won't be released in the US for another couple of months and I am anxious to read it.
